The type of water heater, the quality of installation and maintenance, and the local water quality will all come into play when determining the total lifespan of the unit. On average, a traditional storage-tank water heater can last 10-15 years, while a tankless water heater may last 20 years or more with proper maintenance. However, factors such as sediment buildup, corrosion, and wear and tear on components can shorten the lifespan of a water heater. Regular maintenance, such as flushing the tank, checking the anode rod, and inspecting the heating elements, can help extend the life of a water heater.
Whether it is better to repair or replace an AC unit depends on a few factors, including the age of the unit, the extent of the damage, and the cost of repairs versus the cost of a new unit.
If your AC unit is relatively new and the repairs are minor, it may be more cost-effective to repair the unit rather than replace it. However, if the unit is more than 10-15 years old and the repairs are extensive, it may be more cost-effective to replace the unit, as older units are often less energy-efficient and may require more frequent repairs in the future.
Other factors to consider include the cost of energy in your area, the size of your home, and your long-term plans for the property. Upgrading to a newer, more energy-efficient AC unit can lead to lower energy bills and increased comfort, especially in areas with hot and humid summers.
Ultimately, the decision to repair or replace an AC unit should be made with the help of a licensed HVAC professional who can provide a cost estimate for repairs and replacement and can help you choose the best option for your specific needs and budget.

Had a pipe leak in the wall, behind the washer and dryer. I called JMS and they sent Tyler out immediately! Could not believe that they acted so quickly, and Tyler had the pipe fixed in just a short time. They are the only service I use and cannot think of using anyone else. Truly great service and workmanship performed by Tyler. I already have JMS scheduled to perform some other services in the near future.

When arriving at the customers house, they show me where the drain was leaking. After looking around to see what’s going on. I found the 90 was loose on the drain pan and the drain line was clogged with corrosion and rust. After replacing the male fitting and cleaning the drain line, I pour water several time to see if it would plug, but to find the water draining properly. Did recommend the customer having the air conditioning drain clean twice. Once in the spring and once at the end of summer.
