Re-venting Furnace out the side wall and externally rising 5 to 6 feet.
For this job, I removed the temporary fan motor and installed the OEM motor. I also install a medium Turbo cap and check the operations of the furnace. The part is under warranty, but the labor was not. I found the furnace is working great. But we do need to follow up with the customer about his ductwork As of right now, the furnace is working in normal operation
changed blower motor. New motor works great
Found blown out register. Need to quote register and isolation valve Install draft fan and rollout switch on boiler.
Got information to quote exhaust run
When I arrived on job site, customer was unsure how long the boiler had been out so after checking the system I found that the damper motor was bad so I bypassed it but it still wouldn’t work so I had to bypass it with wires after doing that, the boiler came on a ran for a few minutes, then shut back off. I’ve then found that the high limit switch terminals were corroded and not allowing voltage to pass off Through them, I made the best connections possible with the condition of the switch and then boiler fired off. Boiler was running when I left, we will need to follow up with a price on a new draft motor and rollout switch. Please mail the invoice.
For this job, the customer was having problems geothermal not heating. So I proceeded to check the unit and found a five amp fuse was tripped. While I was checking the geothermal, I had the system on emergency heat had a temp split of 61° and 118°. After I reset the five amp fuse, I turned the system back on the heat pump and was able to get proper readings. I had a temp split of 61° and 92°. I also checked the water split and the temperature of the water as well The customer said they did not have this unit service for a while, so I recommended the customer having a tuneup done to this geothermal. The customer wants us to come back and do a tuneup. I did not find any other issues with this system
For this job, the customers furnace kept running, even though the thermostat was satisfied. Then sometimes it will come on, then shut off a couple times. Even though the stat was satisfied. I found that the thermostat wire was hooked up to the universal thermostat Smart wire module, and when I unhooked it and just connect R and W the furnace seems to be working great. My recommendation to the customer was replacing the two wire that they got and add 18/6 wire. The customer gave me the OK to have that wire replaced. Both labor and part is under warranty and we would need to reschedule to come back. As of right now, the furnace is working.
Found glass fuse to be blown. Replaced fuse and verified proper operation.
Replaced pressure tank and verified everything was working properly.
Found pressure tank to have a hole rusted in it. Need to get pressure tank and return end of my day tomorrow.
Sanitary Line Replacement
Ran drain machine found pipe was full of tree roots. Cleared blockage and performed camera inspection. Recommend replacing pipe. Estimate for dig job accepted. Office to contact Ross and schedule. Customer request mailed copy of invoice.
When arriving at the customers house, I proceeded to check what was the problem of her water backing up to her shower. I checked the clean out, drain outside the house to find there are standing water in the pipe. And I also crawl in the crawlspace to find a couple leaks, and the pipes are copper. So I recommend getting a drain cleaned on and also replacing the I found in the crawlspace or run new plumbing under the house. The customer gave me the OK to start on the main drain cleaning, then we will proceed from there.
Found system to be r22 and low on Freon. Quoted new system and customer approved
Ran hand held drain machine through kitchen sink. Cleared blockage and ran copious amounts of water to verify drain was no longer clogged. We found blockage to be from grease and pipes that presumably don’t have proper fall. Recommend running hot water periodically to avoid future blockages. Note: drain in laundry room is not accessible for blockages.
Ran handheld through sink, but could not clear blockage. Found drain to be backing up from cleanout in laundry room. Need to return with large machine Thursday at 10 as customer said it took 100 feet of cable last time. House is on slab
Checked unit and found that capacitor had failed for outdoor fan I replaced the capacitor and verified system is operating properly. I could not check pressures on the suction side due to someone having soldered the cap on. I did check the high side and the sub cooling was within range. System is now operating.
Cleaned blower wheel and duct work
Found the sump pump not working Recommended replacing Owner approved Replaced the sump pump, insured the pump was working properly Checked the dry vent, adjusted the dryer and seems to have better airflow Owner will let us know Customer also signed up for gold plan Boiler only Would like to start tuneup fall of 2023
Replaced the furnace Replaced the water heater Insured no leaks Cleaned the aerators Performed the furnace start up Insured both the water heater and furnace are working properly before leaving Cleaned up the workspace Mail the invoice
Found the furnace in very poor condition Chimney is completely full of debris Recommended replacing the furnace with a higher efficiency to eliminate the chimney and replacing 5 water heater to electric Quoted Owner approved Installing the furnace and water heater tomorrow Office approved 92% furnace with a 10 year manufacture warranty and 1 year labor
Found roll out switch was tripped. Reset switch. Verified proper ventilation. Also verified the filter under the water heater was clean of dirt/debris. Pulled burner assembly apart found burner compartment had ashes/debris inside. Cleaned compartment and reassembled. Relit pilot and verified water heater was working properly.
Tried to clean out drain could not get handheld through due to the blockage being so bad Aaron needs to send a quote for a re-pipe
Ran large machine through toilet flange and cleared blockage. Inspected pipes with camera and found them to not be in the best shape. Customer doesn’t have cleanouts so if the problem comes back the next step is to dig up the yard and install cleanouts to further service the sewer line. Currently everything is draining properly.
